Start up your own business, learn to play an instrument, become a writer or an artist. Do better at school, find a new job or make the most of your retirement. Make new friends, lose weight, be happier, fall in love or break-up.
Go somewhere and do something and be somebody.
We all have goals and a desire to get more out of life. Some set the bar high and race to the top, while others are content with plodding along nicely.
I’ve given myself twelve months to go from mendicant to millionaire. And the key ingredient to my future success – and anybody else’s for that matter – is mindset.
So I’d like to say I’m sadistically grateful for all of the punches life has thrown at me since the first day of this year when I decided I was going to turn a thought into reality.
It was training for the mind – and after two years of intentional positive conditioning, mine was tough enough to take the blows and strong enough to fight back.
I know that I will never let this go. I know I’ll never give up. I know that no matter how many more punches come my way, I’ll take them – or I’ll learn how to duck faster and fight back harder.
Because the woman who wins, is the woman who thinks she can….
“If you think you are beaten, you are
If you think you dare not, you don’t,
If you like to win, but you think you can’t
It is almost certain you won’t.
If you think you’ll lose, you’re lost
For out of the world we find,
Success begins with a fellow’s will
It’s all in the state of mind.
If you think you are outclassed, you are
You’ve got to think high to rise,
You’ve got to be sure of yourself before
You can ever win a prize.
Life’s battles don’t always go
To the stronger or faster man,
But sooner or later the man who wins
Is the man WHO THINKS HE CAN!”
